What I wouldn’t do to see some moss-green moss covering a rock today.

Part of my patio garden christened, The Gully.

When I shared my excitement for this new water feature in my garden with my Mom last summer, she said in one of our phone calls, “Have fun in the gully!”, recreating something she would have told me before my next adventure as a kid. She said it to delight me, of course, as a re-creation of sorts.

When I was around 7—-17years old I’d play in a small spring-fed ravine near where I grew up in Pittsburgh, I affectionately called, “The Gully”.
