Where or When

A guy, his beard and this and that.

The thing that has fascinated me most in life is Time, the passage of it and my relationship to it as I age.

I was born in 1957, and as each year goes by, I find out more events that took place in that splendiferous year: the first artificial satellite was put into orbit by the Commies and set off a panic here....the first Pink
Flamingo lawn ornament rolled off the assembly line, and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" was first published, by Dr. Seuss, Burt Bacharach joined with lyracist Hal David to create some wonderful songs and five days after I was born, John Lennon was introduced to Paul McCartney...kinda neat, eh?

Things that matter most to me are family, close friends, my kitty kats, plants, art, making art....laughing and making friends laugh, continuing to find peace of mind and working on self-esteem....and I see so many posts of affirmations on Tumblr esp by young folks and I wish them luck with this one....it's probably more of a life-long journey than something we magically land upon.

I love the plant world, sometimes I think, as if I actually was one. They're the other major form of life we share this planet with, but very few treat them with the dignity and respect they deserve.

We hear of animal rights, thank God, but not enough of plant rights.
I remind people: we need them, for the air we breathe and the food we eat, they basically don't need us.

"Where or When" is a song by the team of Rogers and Hart. Lorenz Hart was a gifted lyricist, who happened to be gay, and wrote lyrics to some of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. The wonderful melodies were composed by Richard Rogers, before he teamed up with Hammerstein.

My favorite is on top—-Shadow and I squeamishly looking at the camera, “a dog licked my beard”/”I licked that face”….euuwwwww

At one of my client’s I got to visit Shadow at the workplace!
