'Sheila's Perfume'. A verrrrrry fragrant rose. I dated a younger guy for a couple of years and taught him as much as I could about roses.  I'm thrilled he counts fragrance as an essential. Many modern roses, including the red florist rose, have had any fragrance bred out of them.

And that really stinks.   Ba-da-boom

The old cliche, “You have to stop and smell the roses along the way”, connotes the joy and intensity of smelling a rose as a metaphor for enjoying life….pretty serious stuff…
