Where or When

I'm creating a beard history, 1977-present. I could't wait to grow my first beard at the age of 20. It made me look mature and manly (!) There is NO more masculine look than a guy with a beard.

I'm fortunate that when I was a young man a friend took many photos of me. It's a record of a part of me I consider so integral---my beard---even though I shave it off from time to time.

Plants
I love and truly respect the plant world, especially trees. I have a miniature garden with small conifers and some bonsai I call "Sylvan".

Art
I paint traditional artwork in oils that include landscapes, botanicals and buildings and also photography of those subjects.

At present I own around three hundred art history books.

I admire the work of the Old Masters the most.

Cats

I live with my three cats (Of my original two, one passed away, so I got the survivor two new litter mates=a crowd!) and some unique architectural antiques that give my home a sense of history.

"Where or When" is a song by the team of Rogers and Hart. Lorenz Hart was a gifted lyricist, who happened to be gay, and wrote lyrics to some of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. The wonderful melodies were composed by Richard Rogers, before he teamed up with Hammerstein.
